A nice video presentation of how things work at StackOverflow. It's impressive the small number of servers they're using for such a huge network of sites (SO is ranked #54 in most popular websites).
What really makes this interesting, is that SO uses the Microsoft ecosystem: IIS Web Server, SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC.
